Nursing students achieve publication success in leading journals

Six nursing students from the College of Health Sciences and Professions' NRSE 7001 - Professional Presence and Writing for the Advanced Nurse course have recently achieved publication success in prestigious peer-reviewed journals.

One of the course assignments is to write a letter to the editor in response to a recent journal article and submit it to the publication.

“These publications reflect the depth of talent and the powerful voices within the nursing profession,” said Associate Professor Melvina Brandau. “I’ve been quite impressed by their effort on this assignment and their published letters. It’s so important that nurses, as the largest component of the healthcare workforce, share their voices!”
