Indo-American Friendship Dinner

Cultural activities at past Indo-American Friendship Dinner

Since 1987, the Friends of India at Ohio University has hosted the Indo-American Friendship Day celebration. Along with other sponsors, the Friends of India invite you to take part in a night of Indian Culture and Cuisine to raise money for various causes.

2024 Indo-American Friendship Dinner

  • When: October 12, 2024 at 5PM
    Where: Baker Center Ballroom, Ohio University
    Tickets**: $20 (students*); $40 (General Admission) 

    *Limited complimentary student tickets are available for those with financial hardship (contact Vipin Koshal, koshalv@ohio.edu)

    **Purchases of 8 tickets will be seated at the same table provided there is availability

    Dinner details

    5 p.m.: Doors Open
    5 to 6 p.m.: Appetizers & Cash Bar
    6 to 7 p.m.: Cultural Program
    7 p.m.: Dinner catered by Aangan Indian Bistro, Dublin, Ohio

Support the Friends of India Endowment

Interested in financially supporting the endowment?

  • Funds raised through our supporters will help grow the Endowment so that many more Friends of India activities continue for generations to come.  

    If you would like to become a "Premier" level supporter, please contact Vipin Koshal, koshalv@ohio.edu

    Premier support includes recognition during the Dinner and logo display during the event. Some levels also include tickets to the Dinner for members of your organization. 

    Levels of support include:

    • Taj Mahal
      • With tickets ($1,000) - Eight tickets to the dinner
      • Without tickets ($700)
    • Golden Temple
      • With tickets ($500) - Four tickets to the dinner
      • Without tickets ($300)  
    • Red Fort
      • With tickets ($300) - Two tickets to the dinner
      • Without tickets ($200)  
    • Bobcat
      • Send two OHIO students to the dinner ($120) – these students will be provided with free tickets acknowledging your support
    • General support
      • Support includes amount of your choice
