Michael Lafreniere is an Associate Professor who teaches Mathematics courses. He has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida and a Master of Engineering (M.E.) degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida. He has many years of successful experience as a teacher of students in person and online since joining Ohio University Chillicothe in August, 1994.
He has consulted with academia and industry in private and public sectors on many environmental engineering, health & safety, and mathematical education topics. He has provided many professional development workshops on technology and education. His research interests have included pedagogical approaches with technology in mathematics and engineering education…most notably, his work on the Collaboratory approach to teaching and learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
