RN-to-BSN Course Offerings

NOTICE TO OHIO UNIVERSITY RN TO BSN STUDENTS:

Registration for RN to BSN courses ends sooner than registration for non-nursing courses. The registration deadline for NRSE courses is 5 pm Eastern Time seven days prior to the start date of the NRSE class. Please refer to the Welcome Packet for additional information.

* For any RN to BSN NRSE courses that are shown with “Permission” status, please search for a section of the course that is listed as "Open". If you need further assistance contact your academic advisor, or email the School of Nursing at nursing@ohio.eduDo NOT email the instructor listed on the course offerings page for RN to BSN NRSE courses marked as "Permission".

* To avoid being charged late registration fees, students must have completed the enrollment process prior to the published “Last Day to Add.” To find the "Last Date to Add" date for a specific course, click on the title of the class in Course Offerings. Course Offerings links are shown below.

Students taking online RN to BSN courses are eligible for a special eCampus undergraduate programs tuition rate. These courses are not included in the Ohio University regular course offerings.

You are able to take courses posted on the Ohio University regular course offerings page. However, different tuition rates will apply for these courses, not the special eCampus rate. Selecting courses other than the eCampus offerings could mean a substantial increase in the cost per credit hour. Click below to view classes available through eCampus:

Summer 2024-25 (opens in a new window)

Fall 2025-26 (opens in a new window)

If you have questions, check with your School of Nursing academic advisor. You will not be eligible for a tuition appeal if you accidentally register for courses that are listed on the Ohio University regular course offerings page.

The RN to BSN NRSE Course Schedule shows when NRSE courses will be scheduled in upcoming terms. If you want to plan the NRSE courses you might take in future terms, the projected rotation is available through the Fall of 2027. Please check the RN to BSN NRSE Course Schedule regularly, as it is subject to change.

NRSE 4515 must be your first nursing class. You will not be permitted to take any other nursing class prior to taking NRSE 4515.

In the event you receive less than 80% (B-) in NRSE 4515, the School of Nursing will cancel your enrollment in all NRSE courses. You will be required to register to retake NRSE 4515 before you will be eligible to schedule other NRSE classes. Contact the School of Nursing if you have questions or need assistance: nursing@ohio.edu or 740-593-4494.

NRSE 4575, NRSE 4585 and 4595 must be taken in sequence. NRSE 4595 (formerly NRSE 4600) is the RN to BSN capstone course and must be taken as your last NRSE course.
