The doctoral specialization in Instructional Technology is designed for individuals whose major professional interest is exploring research and theory in instructional and informational technologies.

 

 

The program prepares graduates for positions as:

  • technology leaders in state technology agencies
  • professional development centers
  • educational technology centers
  • distance learning projects
  • instructional designers for educational enterprises
  • faculty positions in higher education

Admissions Requirements

You will need to supply the Graduate College with official transcripts, a statement of goals, and a resume that describes why you wish to be admitted to the program. Review the program of study.

NOTE: Please note that applicants must have successfully completed a master's degree or will have completed a master's degree by the time they would be starting in the doctoral program.

The Instructional Technology program accepts applications for the doctoral program any semester of the year. * For full consideration, apply by February 1st. Applications will continue to be accepted and processed through April 15th, though later applications run the risk of not being processed in time, as I-20 issuances must be made by May 15th.

** Summer admission has a number of special requirements and is generally not recommended. It will only be considered if an applicant has been in contact with the program coordinator (see contact information below) and all of the special requirements are able to be cleared.
