Samuel Carpenter
Sam Carpenter is a senior Civil Engineering student from Athens Ohio. He has lived in Athens his entire life and loves the area. This made choosing Ohio University an easy decision for him. He started his college career undecided but quickly grew interested in Civil Engineering. Along with an engineering degree, Sam is getting a construction management certificate and taking classes to work towards his surveying license.
While attending Ohio University, Sam worked as a teaching assistant for an engineering graphics class. He also has had two internships with Ohio’s Department of Transportation where he worked with project engineers to oversee several road construction projects in the area. Sam’s junior year at OHIO, he was inducted into Tau Beta Pi, an engineering honors society. Sam is also a member of Ohio University’s American Society of Civil Engineers.
In Sam’s free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends. With them, he enjoys playing golf, watching football, hunting and fishing.
