Julie Stenger
Expected Graduation: May 2015
Hometown: Strongsville, Ohio
Julie selected Ohio University for the community atmosphere. She started off as an undecided student, but quickly chose mechanical engineering due to her interest in designing things and CAD programs.
She is considering different options for after college, including getting involved with a volunteer organization or a career focused on research and design, energy, or even biomechanics.
Outside of the classroom, her favorite activity is serving as a scuba diving teaching assistant, which allows her to travel to Florida for free every semester to dive. This year, she is the president of Pi Tau Sigma, the international mechanical engineering honor society. She is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and Phi Sigma Pi, a co-ed national honor fraternity involving students from all majors. In addition, she is a learning community leader for freshman students and participates in intramural soccer.
Julie enjoys many outdoor activities including hiking, going to Strouds Run State Park, and snowboarding. She also frequently finds herself at Pigskin eating a brew burger and hangs out with friends as often as she can.
