Scott Kostohryz

Hometown: Medina, Ohio
Scott came to Ohio University and chose mechanical engineering because of his passion for automobiles and airplanes. He hopes to work as a design engineer in the aerospace or automotive field after graduation.
Scott completed 3 cooperative education rotation with Stanley Electric US. He was placed in the design office and helped in the design and testing of new lamps for upcoming Honda and Nissan models. He is currently in senior design working with ATCO and Passion Works, and excited to be helping design a machine to help people disabilities.
He has received several awards and scholarships, including the Dean’s Scholarship, the Gary J. and Cindy A. Robinson Scholarship, and the R. Emmett Boyle Scholarship.
In addition to being an Engineering Ambassador, Scott is involved in the Society of Automotive Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the Student Advisory Board. He also is in his third year as a Resident Assistant in Sargent Hall.
In his free time, Scott enjoys biking and running.
