Scanning

The following types of scanners are available in the Libraries:

Quick document scanners. Basic flatbed scanners are available on the the Alden 2nd and 4th Floors. A sheet feed scanner is also available on the Alden 2nd Floor.

High-resolution scanners. The Multimedia Center on Alden’s 2nd floor has 16 standard format scanners and 2 large format scanners. The standard format scanners can accommodate photos, negatives, or slides; attachments for negative or slide scanning may be checked out from the 2nd Floor Service Desk. The Fine Arts Library on Alden’s 3rd Floor has 4 large format scanners and an additional overhead format scanner. These scanners are suitable for higher-resolution image scanning. Instructions for using EPSON scanning software.

Overhead/book scanners. Overhead scanners are available on the Alden Library 2nd Floor and in the Music and Dance Library. These scanners are suitable for scanning books efficiently.

Microform reader/scanners are located on the 1st and 2nd Floors of Alden Library.
