Ohio University to transfer photo storage system

Ohio University transferred to a new photo storage system that will improve access and facilitate the creation and distribution of digital assets across colleges and departments. Starting today, all faculty and staff will be able to download and publish photography for official purposes free of charge using their existing OHIO ID and password.

The new site will be hosted at the same URL, photos.ohio.edu, but will now include assets from the Office of Student Affairs, the College of Fine Arts, the Scripps College of Communication, the College of Business and the College of Health Sciences and Professions.

University Communications and Marketing (UCM), the central communications and marketing department on campus, plans for this transition to improve access to photos and allow for more collaboration from other units to share their photos.

UCM and the participating colleges and departments will continue to add and organize the new digital assets as time allows.
