Events at Ohio University canceled until Aug. 1
Ohio University has extended the cancellation of all in-person University events across our campuses and locations until Aug. 1, 2020, except as it pertains to those areas that obtain prior approval to begin to transition back to campus or for specific activities.
This decision is in keeping with ongoing state recommendations that no gatherings of 10 or more people can take place to slow the spread of coronavirus. This includes events at all campuses and locations, as well as contracted events scheduled to be held in University buildings. All Admissions events will remain virtual.
There are no longer in-state travel restrictions. However, all other travel is suspended until further notice. Exceptions must be made through the appropriate Vice President. Academic exceptions should continue to be advanced to the provost’s office, and research travel exception requests must be made through the office of Vice President for Research and Creative Activity Joseph Shields.
