Summer Jacobs named career coach for OHIO Eastern and Zanesville
Summer Jacobs chose Ohio University out of her love for working with students and helping people.
She lives by the principle of simply being a kind person. Aside from qualifications, “The way you treat people is one of the most important things when it comes to finding a job or starting a career,” Jacobs said.
Jacobs connects with students in every career topic possible, including:
• Helping with mock interviews
• Hosting career fairs, employer table sessions and class presentations
• Holding resume workshops
• Offering mental/emotional health intelligence support and programming.
It is her mission to help students navigate the journey of finding a perfect career they are passionate about, so they continue working hard to attain their dream life. Jacobs’ service is a free resource for OHIO students and graduates throughout the community. She can assist with cover letters, resumes, reference pages, networking, finding jobs/internships, gaining leadership experience and more.
Jacobs attended Zane State College and transferred to Muskingum University for her bachelor’s degree. She is currently continuing her education as a Bobcat for her master’s degree in organizational communications.
“Never give up, continue working hard, and always be yourself,” Jacobs advises students.
