Acceptable Documentation of Service-Related Activities

An appropriate letter, email, or webpage documenting service activity is required.

  • Professional service activities:
    • Chair, board member, elected official, or committee member to any professional association or government agency
    • Invited consultant, external to the University, involving consultation visit(s) and/or written report
    • Coordinating, teaching, or moderating professionally related workshops, symposia, or meetings
    • Serving on an editorial board
    • Other items may be considered
  • University service activities
    • Chairperson or member of committees, boards, councils, or task forces at the School, College, or University level, or faculty senate
    • Advisor/supervisor to university-recognized student organization
    • Serving as division director, graduate or undergraduate coordinator, or other division leadership.
    • Development of alumni and student recruitment programs that contribute to the accomplishments of the School's mission
    • Primary responsibility for the development of student enrichment seminars or development of student internship opportunities through contact with organizations, businesses, or agencies
    • Other items may be considered
  • Community service activities
    • Elected/appointed community board/agency member
    • Active member of task force o Coordinator of clinical services
