National statistics continue to show the need for highly-trained, knowledgeable nurses. In an effort to help deliver top-of-the-line education to more areas across the nation, Ohio University’s College of Health Sciences and Professions and School of Nursing announces the expansion of its Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program to 22 new states. They include:

They join already eligible states, including:

In addition, several post-master’s certificates are also available in all 28 states.
The MSN program is a comprehensive and focused program designed for active registered nurses who have completed their bachelor’s degree and want to advance their education and further their career prospects. All MSN courses are available online.
The MSN program features five tracks including: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Leader, Nurse Educator and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
The DNP program offers a concentration in advanced clinical or executive practice to further expand the knowledge and skills of the advanced nurse clinician or administrator. Classes are featured both online and through on-campus intensives and are available as BSN to DNP and MSN to DNP pathways.
The Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Ohio University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The accreditation is through June 30, 2024.
“Our MSN and DNP programs are of the highest quality and have proven to help open doors for our students and provide the best health care possible,” said Dr. Deborah Henderson, director of OHIO’s School of Nursing. “We’re proud to be able to open our doors to even more states and help provide these high-quality opportunities to more health care professionals.”
