COVID-19 is no longer considered a national public health emergency, and Ohio University encourages the campus community to continue to follow recommended protocols from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Ohio Department of Health, and the Athens City-County Health Department.

OhioHealth Campus Care stands ready to provide students with a wide range of on-campus health services, including treatments for illnesses such as colds, flu and COVID-19 symptoms. The University has a very limited number of rapid antigen tests that will remain available for students, faculty and staff until the supply runs out. Additional information regarding COVID-19 testing and vaccinations and boosters is available online.

Members of the University community are no longer being asked to report a positive COVID-19 test to the University; however, those who test positive for the virus using an unproctored at-home test may self-report their case to the Athens City-County Health Department.

Anyone who is diagnosed with COVID-19 is encouraged to isolate at home in accordance with the most recent CDC guidance.
