OHIO Eastern 65th Anniversary Celebration
Graduation Recognition Ceremony 2022
Ohio University Eastern honored spring 2022 graduates at a Graduation Recognition Ceremony held on Thursday, April 28 in St. Clairsville.
Assistant Professor Emeritus of History Michael McTeague delivered the keynote address. McTeague, an alumnus and longtime faculty at Ohio University, has a reputation of being a true champion for the OHIO Eastern campus, advocating for education on all levels throughout our region.
He spoke directly to the graduating class sharing his wisdom, his vast experience, and unforgettable moments that he has experienced as an OHIO alumnus and renowned emeritus faculty.
150th Great Western Schoolhouse Celebration

The festivities will began at 1:00 PM in the Shannon Hall theatre, followed by an Open House, refreshments, flag raising and period games at the Great Western Schoolhouse to mark this historic occasion.

Blame My Roots Festival
July 14-16, 2022 at Valleyview Campgrounds in Belmont, Ohio
Ohio University Eastern teamed up with the 2022 Blame My Roots Festival (BMRF) to both celebrate alumni and extend music-industry employment opportunities to current students as part of its 65th anniversary.
Ohio University Eastern was excited to partner with Blame My Roots this year. Ohio University alumni, current students, and the community visited our sponsor tent at the festival. On-site happenings included corn hole, ping pong, spinning to win prizes, and a great view of the show!
The Ohio University mascot, Rufus was onsite to meet alumni and listen to Dierks Bentley, Ashley McBryde, and David Lee Murphy on Saturday.

The History of Ohio University Eastern Exhibit
In celebration of our 65th Anniversary, Ohio University Eastern has a collection of historical items on display at the Belmont County Heritage Museum in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
Opening Day is Saturday, August 13, 2022
The exhibit presents multiple collections showcasing the history of our campus. The collection includes art pieces, theater costumes and performance photos, Doris Jones pencil sketch prints, a basketball schedule, and jerseys from the 1968/1969 season along with an array photos and academic artifacts. Visit the museum and step back in time, view in person the instruments, textbooks, globes, and other teaching instruments that were used on the Eastern campus over that last six and a half decades.
