Degree and Minimum GPA

Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or computer engineering from an ABET-affiliated program.

(Applications from non-accredited programs or a non-engineering major will be reviewed more thoroughly.)

Minimum 3.0 GPA

TranscriptsMust submit official transcripts from your undergraduate institution.
Official GRE ScoreGRE - 25th Percentile on the quantitative reasoning portion. Only required for applicants without an ABET-accredited electrical engineering or computer engineering degree.
Additional Requirements
  • Three letters of recommendation from supervisors or academic professors.
  • Personal Statement essay.
  • TOEFL (at least 88) or IELTS (7 on the 9-band scale) for international applicants.
  • Work experience is preferred but not required.

International Students

Generally, students that reside outside of the United States are not eligible to enroll in an OHIO Online program. Additionally, Ohio University is unable to provide immigration support to international students regardless of where they reside. If you would like to discuss your specific situation in order to determine eligibility, please reach out to an OHIO Online enrollment counselor before applying.

Transfer Credits

A maximum of 6 transfer credits, or the equivalent, may be transferred from an accredited university and applied toward the Online MSEE.
