First spring Sustainable Administration Hub Seminar is Feb. 27


Dr. Ryan Fogt, the OHIO Sustainable Administration Hub Coordinator, will kick off the spring Sustainability Hub Seminar Series at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 in the Baker University Center Front Room. 

Green Roof coming to Schoonover Center this spring


Ohio University faculty and students are developing a green roof to be installed this spring on the roof over the Schoonover Center lobby.

Classroom technology upgrade under way in Bentley, Glidden, Gordy, Grover, and Morton


In partnership with faculty, the Office of Instructional Design (OID), Capital Planning, Finance, and the Office of the University Registrar, OIT has begun installing updated technology packages in over 250 centrally scheduled classrooms. Many of these rooms have not seen investments for 5 years or more.

For the 2019-20 academic year, selected classrooms in Bentley, Glidden, Gordy, Grover, and Morton halls will have their technology packages and, in some cases, their furniture updated.

Teaching and Learning Technologies advisory community seeks members


If you would like to help shape the future of teaching and learning technologies at Ohio University, consider joining the newly formed Teaching and Learning Technologies IT Advisory Community. The first meeting will take place from 11 am - 12 pm in Alden Library 251 with an online option via Microsoft Teams for individuals who cannot attend in person.

University seeks Student Experience partner


From February 24 through February 27, the Office of Information Technology will host vendor presentations to support the evaluation of the student experience at OHIO. During the presentations, vendors will share their ideas for how they would assist OHIO in understanding the current state of our student experience and envision future opportunities to enhance this experience.

Athens to get New Solar Panels


The City of Athens has begun the process of installing a new solar panel arrangement that is supposed to cost around $4 million.The new installments will decrease the price of utilities for the city as well as move the city toward greater sustainability. The project’s approximate completion date is August of 2021, Athens City Council President Chris Knisley said.
