Additional Insurance Available on Bank of America (BofA) PCards
In the May Business Matters edition, it was announced that the University has switched to BofA as our new PCard Provider. The BofA Mastercard program provides cardholders with additional insurance coverage than was previously provided. A webpage has been developed to provide easy access to all the insurance information along with info about how to file a claim. (This information can also be found in the cardholders Global Card Access account by clicking the question mark in the top-right corner, then selecting Cardholder Benefits and Features.)
With our JP Morgan card program, you were advised to only use the CTA card when booking flights on behalf of other travelers, to obtain insurance coverage. It has been confirmed by BofA that all PCards in the University’s program provide the same benefits to all insured persons on the covered account (insured persons include person(s) employed by the company for which the Account is issued, and person(s) authorized by the company for which the account is issued and for whom a ticket was purchased using the Account).
This means that all BofA pcards can be used when booking a flight on behalf of another traveler. Although, it is still advisable to use the CTA card, because the purchases on the CTA card do not count against your individual card’s monthly transaction limits.
