I decided to become a sorority woman when I joined in my sophomore year of undergrad to help find a home at Ohio University. Joining a sorority allowed OHIO to feel smaller and more comfortable, but it also allowed me to meet some of my forever friends. I knew I wanted to be a leader, and there were many opportunities to get involved in leadership positions or committees within sororities. I also heard that sororities and fraternities provide a great network of connections through current and alumni members. As a business major, I knew building transferable skills and networking was essential. Sorority and Fraternity Life allowed me to meet all the goals I wanted personally and professionally in undergrad - make friends and find a home within OHIO, gain leadership skills that translate to the real world, and have a network of supporters across the country.
