University Departments: Outreach and Training

Immigration policies are complex, and ISSS is here to help you understand how they impact your students. We provide training for your faculty and staff. We also are here to support you as you support your international students. Please reach out to isss@ohio.edu with any questions or concerns. 

Open Training Events

We will occasionally hold information sessions that are open to any faculty or staff who wish to attend. These will generally center around a theme, such as employment options or enrollment requirements. If you would like to be added to our email list to be notified of these events, please send an email to isss@ohio.edu.

Department-Specific Training

We are also available to provide tailored support to individual departments. If you would like to schedule a training session on a particular topic, please contact us at isss@ohio.edu.

Program Consultation

Are you in the process of developing a new academic program? Making changes to an existing program? ISSS can provide guidance on how to make it compatible with F-1 or J-1 student visas. Areas of consideration include online courses, hybrid courses, internship expectations, entrepreneurship, and licensing requirements, among others.
