Graduation Recognition Ceremony 2024

It is with great anticipation and excitement that Ohio University Lancaster welcomes the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 graduation classes to an in-person Graduation Recognition Ceremony.
Date: Thursday, May 2, 2024
Registration Begins: 6 p.m.
Ceremony Begins: 7 p.m.
Place: Gymnasium | Brasee Hall
Reservations: Please use the reservation form to indicate your attendance at the Graduate Recognition Ceremony.
There is a limit of (6) guests per graduate.
Deadline: Reservations must be received by Friday, April 12, 2024 at 6 pm to be included in this ceremony.
Cap & Gown Package Orders
Regalia is required to participate in the ceremonies. You may not participate in graduation ceremonies without Ohio University issued regalia. No regalia sales will occur at the ceremony venue.
Any graduating student may purchase regalia, regardless of their ceremony participation. Student regalia will be mailed to student’s home address, no regalia will be available for pick-up at the campus.
Note: Be sure to purchase your regalia before the order deadline to ensure on-time delivery. Shipping delays have been experienced and are common.

Graduate Spotlights
If you would like to participate, please fill out the Qualtrics form below. We will begin running posts on social beginning two weeks prior to the Graduation Recognition Ceremony.
Honor Cords
Academic honor cords for cum laude, magna cum laude, and summa cum laude will be provided by Ohio University Lancaster when checking in for the procession lineup. Honors cords are based on academic information from the Registrar's Office. Honor Cords are only given to bachelor degree candidates.
Photography
Your guests may take photos during the ceremony, but we ask that they remain seated during the ceremony so not to disturb other guests who are trying to see their graduate.
A selfie station will be available to get a special shot with a Rufus cutout.
There should be many opportunities to capture a popular family photo or selfie around the OHIO Lancaster campus. Be sure to hashtag #OULGrad2024 to share your memories!
Ohio University Commencement
Ohio University plans to conduct an in-person Undergraduate Commencement event. Students are welcome to attend the Athens event.
