Eyes of Freedom Scholarship – Student Veteran or Non-Veteran
The Eyes of Freedom Scholarships were created in 2015 by the Combat Veterans Club to honor the memory of the twenty-three United States Marines and the Navy Corpsmen serving in Columbus, Ohio's Lima Company, 3/25, who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005. Two $500 scholarships are awarded annually, administered by the General Abraham and Colonel Greenfield Veterans and Military Student Services Center. One award is open to all Ohio University students, both veterans and non-veterans, and one award is for a student veteran.

Edwin L. Kennedy Leadership Award for Outstanding Community Service
Named in honor of Alumnus Edwin L. Kennedy, this award serves to recognize an individual for their lasting and selfless acts of leadership as servant to one’s community.
The Committee for this award shall take into consideration the student’s philosophy of leadership and how that is articulated throughout their actions in service. Applicants/nominees should make great attempts to describe the initiatives created, the depth and extent of the service involvement, and to articulate how leadership occurred or was developed and/or exercised in the experiences.

Rita LaValley Recreation Employee Award
Honoring the attributes of a devoted 30-year employee, Rita LaValley, this scholarship fund recognizes a Campus Recreation student employee that exemplifies exceptional service and dedication to the department, provides genuine care and support for others, and serves as a mentor to their peers.

Student Affairs Employee Scholarships
Established through generous gifts to the Division of Student Affairs Support Fund, student employee scholarships are meant to recognize the important role that students play in the work of the Division of Student Affairs at Ohio University. Scholarships will be awarded to those who demonstrate financial need. Scholarship categories include Academic Excellence and Excellence in the Workplace.

Dr. Patti McSteen Award
The Dr. Patti McSteen award was created in honor of Dr. Patti McSteen’s legacy at Ohio University, specifically her involvement in creating the Margaret Boyd Scholar’s program. The award honors a current Boyd scholar or recent alum that has demonstrated leadership, courage and service to our University community.
OHIO Online Leadership Award
Established to highlight Ohio University students across the country and how they are living the values of service and leadership in their workplace and community. This award is a cumulative award and is meant to recognize a collegiate record of leadership and service to the student's workplace and/or community where they reside. Open to all Ohio University students in good academic standing and senior standing. Applicants/nominees should describe specific projects or initiatives created and how they relate to their program of study and their experience at Ohio University.
