Visual Communication—Photojournalism Minor
Program Overview
This proposed minor will provide students, particularly in related fields, with the foundational knowledge and basic storytelling skills to create visual communication messages rooted in journalistic standards using both still photography as well as audio and video. The minor can be accomplished in 15 credit hours.

Opportunities Upon Graduation
Completion of the Photojournalism minor will provide students with skills to enhance their marketability and career paths. In particular, students pursuing careers in the convergence of journalism and non-profit work, social media communications, marketing, visual anthropology could benefit as more and more of these careers require a multitude of visual skills.
