Introducing Hurley Field and The Marching 110 Band Complex.
Our new band practice field, a permanent home for the most exciting band in the land.

Project Vision

Despite a history of excellence that includes marching in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade three times, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, 40 NFL halftime shows, and international performances in Canada, Ireland, Italy and France, the Marching 110 has never had a dedicated practice facility on OHIO’s campus. Until now.

With a foundational gift of $1 million from Marching 110 alumni Shawn and Tracey Hurley, the new Marching 110 Band Complex will be home to Hurley Field alongside numerous features that will be the best of its kind in the Mid-American Conference. It will include the installation of turf to support rehearsals in all conditions, the construction of a director’s tower for adequate viewing of formations, restroom facilities to be utilized by the nearby soccer field as well, and more.

OHIO’s goal is to complete Hurley Field in time for the Fall 2026 band season.

It has to be 110 percent.

Although 110 once referred to the number of members in the band, that only lasted a few years. Today, there are approximately 225 members of the Marching 110, but the name stuck as a nod to the expectation that every member give 110 percent to the band at every practice and every performance.

In order to reach our $3 million goal to fund the Marching 110 Band Complex, we need Marching 110 band alumni, fans and friends to give with the same energy and commitment. There are additional opportunities to leave a legacy with a naming gift. To learn more, contact Teri Gartland, Assistant Vice President for Major Gifts.

To join us in building the band’s future home, make a gift of any amount.
