Audition Video: Two Parts
Part I: Music Requirements for Woodwinds and Brass
Part 1 of your single unlisted YouTube audition video must consist of the following provided criteria from the music packet:
- Scales as indicated
- Required lyrical exercise
- Required technical exercise
- Salvation Is Created excerpt
The Marching 110 utilizes the following brass and woodwind instrumentation:
- Clarinet
- Alto Saxophone
- Tenor Saxophone
- Mellophone
- Trumpet
- Trombone
- Euphonium
- Tuba
The music packet for each instrument can be downloaded here. You can complete the audition on your concert band instrument (for example, French Horn) or marching band instrument (mellophone).
Part 2: Visual Requirement for Woodwinds and Brass
Part 2 of your single unlisted YouTube audition video must consist of the following:
Box Drill as demonstrated in the instructional video accessed here.
Be sure to pay close attention to the directions and tips mentioned in the video.
Note: If you want to audition for more than one instrument, this process must be completed for each instrument. An exception is made for alto and tenor saxophone — you may indicate interest in playing either instrument on your audition video. Contact the Marching 110 with any questions regarding auditioning on two instruments.

YouTube Audition Submission Information
Acceptance emails will be mailed to outstanding audition submissions. All acceptances will be emailed in mid-May.
