The Music Industry Summit is excited to welcome DJ Premier! DJ Premier will join us on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, for an artist keynote session. He will also perform at our Opening Night Party that evening.
For three decades, the music of DJ Premier has been the cornerstone of hip-hop’s sound. From The Notorious B.I.G. , Jay Z and Nas to Drake, J Cole & Christina Aguilera “PREEMO”—as he’s affectionately known—is the conduit for artists in all genres to attach their lyrics to the complex rhythm of the streets. Throughout it all, Premier and late partner Guru orchestrated a unique sound and wise message in the gold-selling duo Gang Starr that remains a hallmark of positive, advanced music. The three-time Grammy Award winner pushes ahead with an active label TTT, a legendary studio, and his hands scratching away at hip-hop’s next wave of greatness.
DJ Premier will perform a DJ set at our Opening Night Party. Summit registrants and the general public are invited to join for this FREE party and DJ set. More details to be announced soon!
Haven't yet registered for the Summit? Registration is open now! Students, faculty/staff at educational institutions, and Ohio University alumni can register for free for the in-person event. All other in-person attendees must pay a nominal $50 registration fee (which will increase to $75 closer to the event). Virtual registration is free and open to anyone.
