Lots 83, 84 and 122 to be closed Oct. 18 for Presidential Investiture Ceremony

 

The following campus parking lots will be unavailable for faculty, staff and students on Wednesday, Oct. 18 to accommodate out-of-town delegates and honored guests attending the investiture ceremony of President M. Duane Nellis.

  • Lot 83 – Clippinger Hall
  • Lot 84 – Clippinger Hall
  • Lot 122 – Baker University Center (Note: The Baker University Center Garage will remain open during this period)
  • Metered parking areas at Konneker Hall will be available for special investiture guests only
     

Multiple Campus/City transit options available
Ohio University Campus Area Transit Service, or CATS, will continue to provide free transportation for University students, faculty, staff, and visitors throughout campus.

Additionally, Athens Public Transit is free to students, faculty and staff with a valid OHIO ID.

Please contact Transportation and Parking Services at 740-593-1917 (Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) for additional information.

About the Presidential Investiture Ceremony
The investiture ceremony for Ohio University President M. Duane Nellis will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, in Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium.

General public parking for those planning to attend the ceremony will be available at numerous hourly campus parking locations, including the Baker University Center Garage, Jefferson Garage or campus meters/pay-by-space locations.
