OUPD issues notice regarding surveillance systems on the Athens Campus

 

As a reminder, Ohio University Policy 44.119: Video Surveillance Systems was amended last year. One of the critical changes requires all video surveillance systems being used for safety or security purposes on campus, and that are not yet part of the University’s enterprise video surveillance system, to either be transitioned to the enterprise system or deactivated by December 31, 2018. The goal of this policy is to ensure uniformity and consistency in video surveillance across the Athens Campus.

If you are aware of a system that may be subject to this requirement, and you want to continue using the system after December 31, 2018, please have the individual currently responsible for the system reach out to Lt. Tim Ryan (ryant1@ohio.edu) for assistance in starting the transition.
