ohiotoday’s spring issue shows how OHIO community leads

ohiotoday spring cover imageThe spring issue of ohiotoday, themed “leadership,” is filled with stories about OHIO faculty, staff, students and alumni who lead with purpose. Some leaders lead by serving others, like Jan Rader, a Southern Campus graduate featured in Netflix’s Oscar-nominated Heroin(e) who battles the opioid crisis in Huntington, West Virginia, with heart and compassion. Some leaders lead by rising up to do what’s hard yet necessary. Still others lead by innovation, creating new directives to take OHIO to a new level. Here’s a preview of other stories inside this issue of ohiotoday and at ohiotoday.org:

  • “Made for this,” the latest ohiotoday ((radio)) podcast episode, introduces three natural-born leaders serving OHIO’s mission.
  • The infographic “Greening by example,” illustrates OHIO’s goal to be sustainable and carbon-neutral on the Athens Campus by 2075, edging out other higher ed institutions in Ohio in the race to be green.
  • OHIO’s Baker Peace Conference celebrated 30 years by addressing the divide felt among many Americans today.
  • If you can sing it, you can lead it! Check out this video of OHIO a cappella groups battling it out for “best pipes” bragging rights.
