iCUE Spotlight: June 8-14, 2018

Take a look at the upcoming events on the official OHIO Calendar of University Events. Anyone with an active OHIO ID can log in and complete the form to add events that are sponsored by any OHIO planning unit or registered student organization.

So be sure to add your OHIO events, programs and deadlines to the CUE to help keep all members of our University community in the loop!

Here’s a look at a few upcoming events:

Athena Cinema: Beat the Heat $2 Days

3 p.m. Saturday, June 9 | The Athena Cinema

Based on Norton Juster’s 1961 children’s book, “The Phantom Tollbooth,” tells the fantastical story of Milo and his dog Tock. Young Milo is bored of his day-to-day life until he finds a tollbooth in his room and decides to drive his toy car through it. He learns vital lessons and embarks on an unforgettable adventure.

Athens Cooks

5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 11 | Grover Center Test Kitchen

Learn how to shop for and prepare simple, delicious, healthy meals by joining Cooking Coaches today. This six-session class consists of a grocery store tour, four hands-on cooking lessons and a group coaching session.

Finance and Administration Business Forum

10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, June 12 | HRTC 141

The Business Forum is a bimonthly meeting sponsored by Finance and Administration to share information about the work being undertaken and accomplished by the various campus partnerships. All OHIO employees are invited to attend.

UNDER the ELMS: Summer Concert Series

7 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 13 | College Green

One of OHIO’s signature summer events, this free five-week outdoor concert series showcases the talents of the Communiversity Band, composed of current students and alumni, current and retired faculty members, as well as community members.
