Video shines a spotlight on 2018 BSO and OHIO’s newest Bobcats

Ohio University recently wrapped up its annual Bobcat Student Orientation (BSO), designed to welcome first-year and transfer students to the Athens Campus and provide them with resources to help ensure a smooth transition from an admitted student to officially becoming a Bobcat.

Approximately 9,000 members of the Bobcat family – including about 4,000 first-year students, 200 transfer students and 5,000 parents and guests – participated in 2018’s BSO, held June 4-30. Take a peek at some of this year’s BSO activities and hear what some of those students and their loved ones had to say about their BSO experience and how they’re feeling as the start of the 2018-19 academic year approaches in this video.

The Ohio University community looks forward to welcoming the newest members of the Bobcat
family back to the Athens Campus when the University’s Welcome Week festivities officially kick off with the start of first-year student move-in on Thursday, Aug. 23. For more information about fall move-in and Welcome Week, check out the University’s online Arrival Guide. Ready. Set. OHIO!
