Ohio Southern conducts business marketing workshops [PHOTOS]
Ohio University Southern and its Workforce Success initiative conducted three workshops in late September aimed at helping area business owners and entrepreneurs gain new strategies to market their companies. Funded by a United States Dept. of Agriculture grant, the sessions focused on creating a Story Driven Business culture.
Sessions were held at the Ironton Campus on Sept. 19, at Shawnee State University's Kricker Innovation Hub on Sept. 25 and at Ohio University Southern's Proctorville Center on Sept. 26. In all, nearly 50 people participated in the workshops instructed by representatives of Rebel Pilgrim Creative Agency of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Isaac Stambaugh, a graduate of the Ohio University Southern Electronic Media program, was among the presenters who shared new strategies for effective marketing based on a story-driven model.
"It is gratifying to see one of our alum share his knowledge with southeast Ohio business owners and entrepreneurs," said Nicole Pennington, dean of the Southern Campus.
The workshops were made possible by Rural Business Development funds from the USDA so there was no cost to the participants. The attendees ranged from non-profit operators to independent creative business ventures to retail owners and others.
