Dean of Libraries finalists invited to campus

Four finalists for Ohio University’s Dean of Libraries will be on campus later this month after Dean Scott Seaman announced his retirement effective Dec. 31, 2018. Seaman held the position for 10 years.

The search for the next dean officially began in October, when Executive Vice President and Provost Dr. Chaden Djalali announced that the University retained an executive search firm to facilitate a national search.

The search firm is allotting time for finalists to notify their employers of this opportunity. We will share more information about each candidate in the coming days.

Each finalist will have an open forum for any member of the campus community who wishes to attend and also available by streaming video to anyone with a University ID and password. Finalists will make a short presentation and then will be open for questions from the audience.

The forums will be held Dec. 10, 11, 13 and 14, from 2 to 3:15 p.m. in the Friends of the Library Room.
