Employees invited to give WellWorks a try

As Ohio is experiencing colder temperatures and fewer hours of daylight, WellWorks is busy creating convenient opportunities for employees to continue to focus on health and wellness.

During the month of December, anyone without a current WellWorks membership can purchase a four-month membership package and receive a fifth month for free.

“Our plan with this December promotion was to focus on outdoor enthusiasts who wanted to complement their sport with additional strength and flexibility programs or to help those people who struggle to find motivation in colder, darker weather,” explained Cyndi Parsons, WellWorks’ administrative specialist.

“It’s only natural to want to hibernate this time of year,” said director of WellWorks, Jenn Bennett. “We want employees to feel welcomed at our facility so they want to prioritize themselves. We’re a great place to spend a lunch hour or to relieve stress after a difficult meeting.”

Bennett highlighted that members of WellWorks have access to the fitness center, can attend unlimited group fitness classes, can participate in low-cost personal training and can receive discounts on specialty classes.

“Anyone training for a spring or summer race or event would benefit from our Triathlon Training class or our Great Yoga Wall classes,” encouraged Bennett. “It just makes sense to get a membership and save some money on those classes.”

In the December Employee Newsletter, released on Dec. 3, employees received information about this deal and a coupon for one free December visit to WellWorks. Employees who did not receive this newsletter are encouraged to first check the “Clutter” mailbox in their Outlook and if they still do not have the email, they can request that it be sent by emailing Annie Laurie Cadmus at cadmus@ohio.edu.

“The wellbeing of our employees has to remain a top priority,” said Bennett. “So, if you make the effort to get to WellWorks, our Wellness Specialists can help you take the next step by finding the right equipment, training routine or fitness classes for you.”
