Ohio University to unveil redesigned homepage next week
New ohio.edu to focus on the OHIO student experience, feature enhanced visuals and navigation
Ohio University will reveal a redesigned homepage on Monday, Feb. 4 that showcases the transformative access and opportunity that an OHIO education can provide.
The new www.ohio.edu homepage, which was created through numerous cross-campus collaborations and feedback from University partners, not only focuses on the diverse experiential and interdisciplinary learning opportunities available across OHIO – it makes clear the University’s commitment to supporting and investing in its students while they work to create their individual success stories.
“OHIO’s redesigned homepage provides the perfect window for individuals everywhere to experience, first-hand, the kinds of world-class learning opportunities and social engagement that are part of an Ohio University education,” said Senior Vice Provost for Strategic Enrollment Management Craig Cornell.
Additionally, the University’s new homepage will prominently feature select data and accolades from OHIO’s redesigned “OHIO Facts” page, which was previously known as “Focus on OHIO.”
OHIO Facts displays key information and figures related to OHIO student life, academics, research and campus accolades, including:
- 93 percent of OHIO graduates are either employed or pursuing further studies within one year of graduation.
- OHIO’s commitment to student access and affordability via $0 tuition/fee increases over four years.
- OHIO’s ranking as the number 1 “Best Small College Town” in the United States.
- OHIO’s top-25 ranking as one of the safest campuses in America.
The University also recently announced OHIO Online, a new web resource that showcases the OHIO’s online undergraduate and graduate offerings.
Through OHIO Online, students can choose from six online associate’s degree programs, 10 Bachelor’s degree completion programs or more than 30 online graduate programs. All of the programs leverage the same high-quality faculty and benefit from the University’s overall commitment to student access and success.
Ohio University President M. Duane Nellis said OHIO’s collective web-based improvements are part of a concerted effort to better showcase Ohio University and its outstanding professors and programs.
“For too long, OHIO has been a ‘best-kept secret,’” President Nellis said. “It is time for us to grow and expand the ways in which we talk about Ohio University and better tout the world-class educational experiences offered by this amazing institution.”
