First-year Studio Art M.F.A. candidates in the School of Art + Design present new work in “First of All,” exhibit

 Ohio University’s School of Art + Design presents an exhibition curated by first-year Master of Fine Arts candidates in ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, painting, photography and graphic design. The show will be on view Feb. 12 through March 9 with a reception on Thursday, Feb. 14, from 6-8 p.m. in OHIO’s Trisolini Gallery, located on the fourth floor of Baker Center. Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be provided.

The exhibition will feature a group of artists from a variety of backgrounds using diverse approaches to create sculpture, pottery, video projection, prints and paintings. It will synthesize the explorations of the newest graduate students as they work through their first year in the program.

Participating artists include: Carmelo Amenta, Jon Ashcraft, Ryan Embry, Lalana Fedorschak, Connor Furr, Paige Greeley, Kat Hennessy, Danny Hermann, Megan McCormick, PyLynne Myers, Bren Perez, Emma Silverstein, Stephanie Spyker, Drew Svoboda, Shockley Traub and Yirong Zhuo.

Trisolini Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
