OHIO celebrates Homecoming 2019: 1804 and So Much More
Ohio University alumni and the Bobcats following in their footsteps united for Homecoming 2019 – a week dedicated to reveling in their shared and unique experiences and celebrating all things OHIO.
Themed “1804 and So Much More,” Homecoming 2019 – which coincided with the 215th anniversary of Ohio University and the 160th anniversary of the Ohio University Alumni Association – spoke to the rich history and traditions of the University while calling on members of the community to envision and be part of its future.
As Erin Essak Kopp, assistant vice president of alumni relations and executive director of the Alumni Association, said at this year’s Alumni Awards Gala, “Being a part of this singular place transcends the finite amount of time spent on the bricks as students. It’s something you carry with you – for life.”
