OHIO suspends payroll deductions for parking permits until further notice

Ohio University continues to look for ways to ease the transition for employees who are working remotely while in-person instruction remains suspended on campus.

To that end, Ohio University faculty and staff who hold active campus parking permits will have payroll deductions for parking fees suspended, effective March 16, until further notice. Permits will remain active to accommodate staff who are working on campus.

Faculty or staff who purchased their permits directly from Transportation and Parking Services can contact the TPS Customer Care Center at 740-593-1917 or tps@ohio.edu to obtain credit as appropriate. Faculty and staff with questions regarding their campus parking permit can contact the Customer Care Center at 740-593-1917 or tps@ohio.edu for further assistance. Ohio University is working on a refund process for students for parking permits. If students have balances on their student accounts, the credit will first be applied to these charges. For more information for students, click here.

Earlier this week, OHIO announced that only staff whose work is critical to current operations are to report to work on campus. Those not required to report to campus are expected to work remotely whenever possible or engage in other meaningful work.

This action was taken to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 virus by minimizing contact among employees who must be on campus. Ohio University remains open.
