CHSP joins Athens County COVID-19 response team

City of Athens Mayor Steve Patterson has invited CHSP and other Ohio University officials to join a small group of community leaders to assess the potential social, economic and health issues for Southeast Ohio in the county’s continued fight against COVID-19. 

The emerging initiative, which is being led by Mayor Patterson, ultimately hopes to inform short- and long-term regional planning related to the overall impact of COVID-19.

CHSP Senior Director of Community Relations Rebecca Miller said that she hopes the response team’s work will help to further define both the county’s current and future COVID-19 response and recovery strategies. 

“Now more than ever, this pandemic has created a need for everyone to come together as one community,” Miller said. “CHSP is proud to join its OHIO peers and leaders across our county in the collective fight against coronavirus.”
