Message to supervisors about mandatory online coronavirus training for those returning to campus for fall semester

This message was sent to University supervisors on Aug. 13, 2020.

Dear Colleague,

You are receiving this message because you are identified as a supervisor in the University Human Resource System.

In our efforts to prepare for a safe return to campus this fall, University Human Resources has worked diligently over the summer with public health partners to develop an informative training module that focuses on efforts made to keep our community safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 10-minute training session is available now online at
https://www.ohio.edu/coronavirus/training, and must be completed by students, faculty, and staff before they are permitted to return to campus.

We are asking for your help in ensuring that all employees who will be required to return to campus this fall take this training. This includes student employees returning for Phase 1 and any employees who are already working on campus.

Please provide these employees with
a link to the training module and request they complete the module before returning to campus. The training includes a review of the OHIO Pledge.

The training course covers expectations for personal protection such as face masks, hygiene, and physical distancing. It also provides information about University policy and guidelines, and how to stay informed. The pledge acknowledges an understanding of and commitment to the behaviors described in the training.

For your tracking purposes, we have included a form within the training that allows employees to email their supervisor, or designated coordinator, completion documentation.

Thank you for your commitment to keeping our community safe.
