Undergraduate students invited to attend virtual Majors Fair Sept. 30

All undergraduate students interested in learning more about Ohio University’s academic majors, minors, and certificates are invited to participate in the annual Majors Fair. University College will host the Majors Fair virtually on Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. via Microsoft Teams.

Students can investigate the more than 250 majors offered at OHIO and learn about minors and certificates. Participants can sign up online for the sessions that interest them. Students will have an opportunity to connect with faculty and staff from academic programs across the university to ask questions and explore their interests. Representatives from the Center for Leadership and Career Development, the Office of Global Opportunities, and the Center for Campus and Community Engagement will also share resources and information about career development, study abroad, voter registration, and more.

“The Majors Fair helps students in their academic exploration,” said University College Assistant Dean for Advising and Student Services Ebony Green. “Choosing a major is about finding a curriculum that sparks passion and desire to learn. OHIO’s amazing faculty and staff are ready to help students explore options, develop plans, and advance toward their goals.”

The fall 2020 Majors Fair will take place via a series of Teams meetings. Students will be asked to sign up for Teams meetings for the majors that interest them and will receive links for those Teams meetings after signing up. Find a complete listing of majors, minors, and certificates at ohio.edu/majors. Since large in-person events are not feasible at this time due to the Coronavirus, a spring Majors Fair will also be planned this year.
