Wellworks announces updates to Healthy OHIO initiative for fiscal year 2021

Wellworks has announced details about how Ohio University employees and spouses/partners can participate in Healthy OHIO, the University’s employee wellness initiative, for fiscal year 2021.

Healthy OHIO is intended to give participants customizable tools and resources for a variety of wellness goals. It features the online/mobile wellness platform called Virgin Pulse and biometric health screenings.

Slight changes have been made to the fiscal year 2021 Healthy OHIO program due to COVID-19. The University’s goal is to continue to support the health and wellbeing of employees, while respecting individual choices around coronavirus challenges. The following FY21 program offering adjustments minimize risks while still allowing for employees to seek knowledge, understanding and support for their health needs.

Biometric Screenings: All eligible participants are encouraged to conduct an annual screening so they stay on track with their wellness goals. No financial incentive will be offered for screenings this year; the reward dollars have been re-allocated to allow employees to earn more on Virgin Pulse (see details below). Employees at all campuses are encouraged to schedule a screening with WorkHealth Athens Clinic (call 614-566-9675 to schedule) or submit a Physician Screening form. More details are available online.

Virgin Pulse: Eligible participants can earn up to $200 per year (up to $50 quarterly) when they use the online/mobile wellness platform for customized engagement opportunities. The program is designed to help individualswhether looking to improve their financial well-being, focus on their fitness, or spend more time with their petsdefine and meet their unique wellness goals. Additionally, in 2020 participants can earn $60 for taking the Health Risk Assessment found in the “Programs” tab of Virgin Pulse (one-time reward). More information about Virgin Pulse is available online.
