Cybersecurity Awareness Month continues: Secure your devices at home and work

As part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, Ohio University’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) is providing weekly guidance on how faculty, staff, and students can #BeCyberSmart.

2020 has been a year unlike any other and has vastly impacted how we work, learn, and socialize online. Both homes and universities are more connected than ever. Although we have all had to quickly adapt to rapid changes this year, we also must remain conscious of potential security vulnerabilities that may be prevalent.

Here at Ohio University, we encourage everyone to keep their internet-connected devices clean. OIT encourages all faculty, staff, and students to use their personal devices carefully, install regular updates, and exercise caution when storing sensitive data. We all have a part to play in keeping our machines clean. Read more about strategies to follow
