Classified Senate names Jennifer Fritchley Employee of the Month for September 2020

Classified Senate has named Jennifer Fritchley, administrative specialist for facilities management administrative services in the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Employee of the Month for September 2020.

This recognition is Classified Senate’s way of awarding those employees who have shown outstanding individual achievement and performance of their jobs, while inspiring and supporting the achievement of others.

Criteria for selection include:

  • Positive attitude and serving as a role model;
  • Productivity and commitment to quality;
  • Initiative and taking on additional responsibilities

Fritchley was nominated by Marilyn Maher with additional details from Beth Maxon. The following is a sample of the comments made about Fritchley in the nomination:

“Daily, Jenn provides quality customer service to our faculty, staff and students. Over the last few months, she has been working on-site daily to cover any facilities/operational tasks and does so with a positive attitude. She displays excellence through her teamwork, positive attitude and pride demonstrated in her work.”

“She is keeping the Athens operations running smoothly for curriculum and research. Some examples include: 1) assistance with the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine office moves to West Union Street by managing students and tasks associated with the pending moves, and 2) managing the signage, floor taping, taking temperatures, wiping down of high-touch surfaces and lockers to maintain a safe learning environment for the medical students during our hybrid return to campus activities over summer and fall.”

“Jenn has stepped up to be of enormous assistance after the retirement of two key personnel (with over 65 years of combined service!) for the medical school. She manages the daily tasks as well as shares new ideas to be more efficient. You can count on Jenn to be in the office and completing her work! She is a valuable member of the Heritage College team!”
