OHIO Engineering Technology and Management Program reaccredited by ATMAE

The Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) extended accreditation for Ohio University’s Engineering Technology and Management (ETM) program in the Russ College of Engineering and Technology.

“ATMAE provides specialized accreditation for our ETM program above and beyond the university accreditation,” says Todd Myers, chair of the ETM department. “What this practically means is that experts review our curriculum, faculty, and labs, interview our students, and talk to employers of our students to validate our program is providing the value we know it does. This also means that we are year to year making improvements to our program to stay current and relevant.”

This re-accreditation marks 42 years of continuous accreditation for the ETM program. Per ATMAE’s website, “the primary purpose of ATMAE accreditation is to encourage and recognize the attainment of certain professional goals and standards for technology and to encourage continuous quality improvement through a voluntary and comprehensive evaluation process.”
