OHIO’s International Opportunities Think Tank seeks feedback

Dean Donal Skinner and Dr. Purba Das, co-chairs of Ohio University’s International Opportunities Think Tank (IOTT), are hosting two virtual feedback sessions on Feb. 17 and 19 to discuss the group’s goals and initial recommendations.

Executive Vice President and Provost Elizabeth Sayrs charged the IOTT in fall 2020 with examining and making recommendations about the future of international teaching, learning, research, recruitment and student support services.

IOTT members represent key units that serve international students and faculty to discuss how to globalize the University’s curriculum and research/creativity, and to determine better structures, processes and practices to build on the University’s considerable strengths and avoid duplication.

After receiving feedback from the University community, the IOTT will make final recommendations in March 2021.

Draft areas from which recommendations are being developed can be viewed on the IOTT website (OHIO login required).

The feedback sessions will be held:

Wednesday, Feb. 17, 3 to 4 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 19, 3 to 4 p.m.

Those interested in attending must submit a form by noon on the day prior to the session in order to receive a meeting link. Attendees will receive a calendar invite with a Teams link for the session.
