Keeping Bobcats informed, May 19, 2021

GET OUTSIDE

If you're sticking close to Southeast Ohio, there are countless options to keep active and soak up that vitamin D. Hike through Hocking Hills, borrow a free bike from a library and cruise on the Hock Hocking Adena Bikeway, swim at Strouds Run State Park, or mountain bike on Baileys Trail System.

Heading back home or venturing off somewhere new? Post about your outdoor treks and tag @BobcatWellBeing on Instagram. We'd love to see what you're up to!

Frequently Asked Questions

Required COVID-19 Testing Pathways
The efforts to keep our Bobcat community safe have been carefully considered, but helping everyone in a diverse community to stay on the same page can be tough! Here are some simple answers to frequently asked questions.

Who is required to participate?
That's an easy one! EVERYONE is required to select a testing pathway.

What is a testing pathway?
Testing pathways are how we prevent the spread of COVID-19 across our campuses. There are two options for testing pathways:

Vaccination pathway: Fully vaccinated? Got proof?  Great! You'll be required to participate in asymptomatic testing only once a month.

Weekly pathway: Not vaccinated? You're on the weekly pathway plan. Every seven days you'll need to complete an asymptomatic test.

ATHENS SUMMER

You'll never tire of the quiet, casual strolls up Court Street or the endless selection of seating at Donkey Coffee. Head out to East State Street to select local goods at Athens Farmers Market — popping up Saturday and Wednesday mornings. Relax under the trees on College Green, take a ride on the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway in Nelsonville, rock out with Stuart's Opera House music events (we've all been craving live music), or explore art at Dairy Barn exhibitions. Check out Athens County Visitors Bureau events and get around using Athens Public Transit.

Explore Appalachia
The region is filled with unique and vibrant communities across OHIO's many campuses. Whether you're in Athens or looking for new places to explore, check out all the region has to offer.
