After two years, alumni were invited home to celebrate being a Bobcat the week of Oct. 4-10 with virtual and in-person events and activities.
Some of the major highlights from the week included the OHIO Homecoming 5K run and walk, the Student Alumni Board’s Yell Like Hell Pep Rally, the Paint the Town Green decoration competition, an OHIO trivia night, and cooking demos featuring beloved dining hall dishes, among many others.
The week culminated with some fan favorite events such as the Homecoming parade, which featured performances from the Singing Men of Ohio, the Marching 110, and the ever-popular “Most Exciting Alumni Band in the Land”; the football game against Central Michigan University; and the Bobcat Bash tailgate at Tailgreat Park prior to the game.
The parade featured organizations from all over Athens and Ohio University and was hosted for virtual audiences by DJ A-Rock and Interim Vice President for Student Affairs Jenny Hall-Jones.
Several alumni also were celebrated for their commitment to excellence and service during the annual Alumni Awards Gala, including alumnus of the year Frank Krasovec who earned his bachelor’s of science in business in 1965 and his MBA in 1966.
