Volunteers needed for fall commencement ceremony

Volunteers from the Ohio University community are needed to support the fall 2021 commencement ceremony. Commencement is the culminating event for all students at Ohio University, and help is needed.

The fall 2021 commencement ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, in the Convocation Center. It is estimated to last between 2 and 2.5 hours.

Fall commencement volunteer sign-ups will remain open through Dec. 6. Registered volunteers will receive email communications from Event Services staff regarding assignments and volunteer training opportunities.

Volunteers for each college to check in students will be sent a separate survey. 

All graduates, guests and staff are required to wear a medical (cloth) face covering at all times while inside the Convocation Center. Those who feel ill, have symptoms consistent with COVID-19, have been exposed to someone with symptoms of COVID-19, have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or who have tested positive themselves, must stay home.
